Want to enhance your Outbreak Omega experience? We encourage overnight camping as a great way to get maximum enjoyment from the event. Best of all…it’s FREE. There’s no camping fee. If you plan to camp overnight, here’s some tips to assist you: LOCATION:

CAMPSITES….Refer to the official Outbreak map: Large motorhomes on trap range. Smaller trailers or tents around the Fort or secluded campsites in the woods. Most campsites allow parking your vehicle next to your camp. Camps on trap range must be moved on Sun. morning to accommodate a Sun. trapshoot.
CLUSTER CAMPS…We encourage cluster camping – a half doz. friends camped in a circle. The increased camaradarie not only adds to the fun, but having more people around increases your chance of survival in case of a zombie night raid. Of course, If you prefer privacy, you’re welcome to set up your own private camp. If you can’t find the assistant, simply pick a spot that doesn’t block the road, interfere with shooting or have a “reserved” sign.
RESERVING SITES….Reservations are not necessary, but if you wish to reserve a particular spot for yourself or cluster, visit the grounds in advance. When you have chosen a spot, go to the bottom of this page and click button.
EARLY OR LATE ARRIVAL….No time limit. Arrive when you want and stay as long as you want. Warning: If you arrive before Fri., we might put you to work. If you arrive Sat. morning, you must camp in the open field on west side of range.
PRIMITIVE…Camping on the range is “primitive.” No sewer hook-up, etc. Outhouses and drinking water are furnished, but otherwise, you’re on your own. A limited number of electric hook-ups are available for $25 per weekend..
CAMPFIRES…No open campfires are allowed except in the 2 designated fire rings. If you want a private campfire for cooking, you must use a portable grill or device that will not scorch the grass. No fires are permitted directly on the ground.
LAVATORIES & WATER…Outhouses are scattered
around the grounds. Fresh drinking water is available from a faucet on
south-east corner of Gun

TRASH…Bring garbage bags with you. Before you leave, clean your campsite. Take the garbage bags home for disposal. Leave no trace.

VIZ
(PRIVATE) PARTY…Campers are reminded that the party
on Fri. night at
SAT. NIGHT PARTY...The Sat. night party & awards event at Lucky Lady Dancehall is open to all, except that you must have a VIZ wristband for free beer & beverages.
FOOD…Food vendors will be on the range all day Sat. On Sat. evening, food will also be available from vendors during the Sat. evening awards event.
INTERNET...Free wireless internet is available from Ahlman's, but distance is limited; will not reach camping area. To access internet, go to customer parking lot by front entrance to gun store. An electrical plug-in is located on the north end of wood retaining wall.
GUN STORE…Snacks, chips, pop, etc. are available in the gun store. Also insect repellent to repel mosquitoes, ammo to repel Zombies and….a few guns. Store hours for Outbreak Omega are 9AM to 7PM on Friday, 7:30AM to 6PM Saturday. Closed Sunday.
CHILDREN…Children are welcome on the range but MUST BE accompanied by parent. Because of numerous hazards, children are not allowed to roam freely. EYE AND EAR PROTECTION MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES DURING SHOOTING HOURS.
SHOOTING BEFORE & AFTER EVENT…The following shooting opportunities are available before and after Saturday’s Outbreak Omega event:
FRIDAY….Ahlman’s customer range is available during store hours for sighting-in. Fee is $10 per shooter. SUNDAY…Trapshooting & Wobble (crazy clays) are available from 11 AM to 2PM. Fee is $5 per 25 rd. event. No other shooting is permitted on Fri. & Sun. except as authorized by Rangemaster. |
